Of course she helped! She cut a lot of the drywall. I did the taping and the mudding. I was also the popcorn scraper. She did the painting for the edges and corners, I did the bulk of the roller work.

This picture really doesn't do it justice. All the colors of red match (the same burgundy color) and the curtains are a shimmery curgundy. It's much better in person, but if you can only see a photo, this one will have to do. Meredith :)

Sorry I published as Oliver!! And I mispelled burgundy!! Who knew I teach university students who would have my head if they saw that! Meredith :)

Sorry I posted as Oliver and I mispelled "burgundy"!! Eeee gads, two mistakes! I'm off to work on the garden (pulling up weed block, weeding,etc.). Home improvement never ends! Meredith :)

Oliver, I think you and your family are ready for your breakout HGTV series.... And, first of all, I want to say that, holy-hell, that's the same general color scheme I have for my bedroom. Does that make us 1) have the most excellent taste ever; 2) completely susceptible to trends? I am ready for a home swap anytime you and fam want to vaca in SF... :)

Debbie, yes to 1 AND 2. And we definitely should swap some time! I'd love to visit SF again.
