Yeah--i had been thinking a lot about 1932 (when the Reichstag got 37% of the vote). The kind of oppression here, of course, is has its own insidiousness. The way it makes people suffer within its own borders is much more elaborate. But I think there are parallels. Is Leni Reifenstahl and Fox News too much of a stretch?
